started my education in cinematography at the National University of Theatre
and Film Arts in Sofia. I've shot ten short films, three full-length films
and lots of TV shows and commercials. I graduated in the class of professor
Georgy Karajordanov and professor Ludmil Stajkov, one of the greatest and
most creative Bulgarian directors. The most important role for my growth
and career as a director of photography of the two played Georgy Karajordanov:
he showed me the secrets of filming as well as taught me how important the
responsibility and accuracy are in my profession. I have rich and interesting
experience in shooting films. The most amazing and exciting event was when
I was shooting from a helicopter while working with Greg Rouch in "I,
Hamlet". It was a fascinating adventure to fly above the marvelous
scenery of the Rila Mountain. I felt myself as if I was one of the world
famous directors of photography. Flash technology is a powerfull and representative
tool for expressing more influential ideas, examples of which you can find
in my compositions. In 1991 I started working as a graphic designer and
photographer for Phovilux - an Advertising House. The company was specialized
in design and printing labels, leaflets and posters. Our main purpose was
to satisfy clients. We used to work with Vinal - Lovech, Vinprom - Haskovo,
Vinprom - Teteven, Vinko - Silistra, Stabex - Sofia, Mesokombinat - Dobrich,
Pchela - Dobrich, Jakard - Dobrich , Rodina - Dobrich, Apiakta - Lovech,
Vinprom - Vidin and others. In Vivastar - Switzerland I made the design
of all their printing advertisement items such as leaflets, posters and
boxes. I controlled the whole printing process. In the development of application
skins for WinAmp and Earjam Player, as well as the interface for Vivastar
Recording Software, I have utilized my sense of technology combined with
visual body design. My business web site works show more clarity, simplicity
and functionality. Here, at my portfolio site, you will notice much more
of my artistic point of view. I consider it as very important to answer
the demands of my clients while I work over their sites. So get acquainted
with sites designed by me. Emil Trifonov 1804-165 Barrington Ave, Toronto,
